" Terror is the stage on which I perform."

Profile: If ever there was a Decepticon equivalent (although most Autobots would say there's no difference at all) of Repugnus, Pounce is it. He's not as ugly, but he's every bit (if not more) as anti-social and downright vicious and nasty. Wily, silent, deadly and merciless, he's the right machine for the right job... namely the ones no one else wants! Though he's as savage and deadly as one could want, a lot of his success stems from the reputation (almost legend) he's skillfully built up around himself. No one (not even the Decepticons, it's rumored) knows when or where he will strike next. He hunts at night, striking silently and lethally and then melting back into the shadows. He works alone, deep in enemy territory, with an open-ended brief to destabilize the Autobot forces. When he does strike, pleas for mercy are wasted breath. Like Repugnus, the more disgusting it gets, the more he relishes it. Pounce cares little for the company of others, enjoying terrorizing his fellow Decepticons almost (but not quite) as much as he enjoys hunting and killing Autobots. As he has been known to mutter, "It's a dirty job... but someone's got to do it!"

Abilities: In puma mode, Pounce can creep with virtually no noise at all and then leap up to a colossal seven miles to pounce on his unsuspecting prey. He possesses enhanced eyesight (including highly defined night vision) and an enhanced sense of smell. He can track virtually anything, anywhere. In robot mode the laser range finder and target lock system in his optical sensors provide 99.4% accuracy with his twin anti-personnel missile launching guns, both of which come complete with metal shearing bayonet attachments. He is the clone brother of Wingspan.

Weaknesses: Apart from a somewhat inflated opinion of his own abilities (he tends to believe his own publicity), Pounce has no evident weaknesses.

Sly, silent, and savage. The right machine for the right job. Often ignores his victims' pleas for mercy. In puma mode, can leap .7 miles. Possesses superior eyesight and sense of smell. In robot mode, laser range finder in optical sensors provides 99.4% accuracy with twin anti-personnel missile launching bayonets. Clone brother is Wingspan.

** On the personal level, I don't have a whole lot to say.  Pounce is cool, but I have no personal thing that really sticks in my mind.  I didn't have Pounce as a kid, he is a more recent addition to my collection.  It was cool how I got him though.  Big Fun, a vintage toy store in Cleveland, Ohio, has a once a year 50% off sale to clear out older inventory and make room for new.  I went in that day in September 2016, and got him then for a great deal.

Pounce is in pretty good shape.  He and his clone brother were my biggest victories in my eyes on this deal.  They are complete with their box, their weapons, internal backer card and bubble, instructions and tech-spec decoder.  Joints are pretty tight, and minimal sticker wear.  As mentioned, I have him complete with his weapons, the two Anti-Personnel Missile Launching Bayonets.   As seen in the photos, when I took advantage of that sale, I also got a boxed Pounce and Wingspan, some Targetmasters, as well as some other miscellaneous things.  Check back for better pictures of just him.**
